ATC for Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog

Hi All!

I am in the middle of my taxes.... papers everywhere!  I managed to find a small un-taxcluttered space in my studio to make an ATC for the Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog that Fred She Said is sponsoring this month.  The theme is ATC's or Fat Pages.   Love ATC's!  Thanks CCCB for letting us guest contribute :)

This one has a lot of techniques going on and I'd love to explain them with a tutorial but that will have to wait until my tax mess is done and gone LOL.

I'll try to briefly explain what I did :)  I laser printed the Corner Peony digital stamp onto dry-wax deli paper ( which required careful tweaking of taping the deli paper to cardstock so it would load properly in the printer ).  I loosely cut the peony out. The background was made using a magic stamp foam that was heated and pressed into an embossing folder.  I applied Picked Raspberry and Mowed Lawn  distress inks to the magic stamp and huffed and pressed into my ATC cardstock then sprayed with a pearlized mist until the ink started to move then let dry.  I collaged the peony that is on deli paper onto the ATC with gel medium then let dry.  The Peony is very translucent and you can't see the cut edges!  ... and colouring with Prismacolor pencils gave good opaque coverage.  I also shaded with a dark umber colored pencil around the flower and did my blending with a Prismacolor blending Marker.  I coloured a fussy cut Ornate Butterfly, added pearls and  lace trim and pearl trim to the bottom of the card and distressed the edges of the ATC with Walnut Stain distress ink.

A nice diversion from taxes!  ...  now I want to make more LOL

:)* Fred
